Sam used to live in a lonely Florida apartment with her maid while her father travelled. In school and at the barn, she had little to no friends. Everyone labled her an outcast because of her riding, and no one dared talk to her. Her only friend was Jesse, her leased pony. At competitions, she and Jesse dominated in the Hunter division. They were quickly upgrading from state to national shows. Jesse was her best friend, and to be separated from her would kill her. Just when Sam is getting the hang of things in Florida, her father announces she must move in with her aunt. Permenantly. Uprooted, Sam must leave Jesse and again restart her life. Her aunt's barn had always been a happy place for her, being only seconds away from her house. Things start to look okay again, especially after meeting Aunt Lisa's groom, Gabriel. Then, in an attempt to make ammends, Sam's father purchases a high-strung Thoroughbred for her. At first, Sam is ecstatic; nothing could be better than having her own horse. But she soon realizes this is far from the truth. Sunny Side Up enters the ranch dazzed and disoriented. He's been roughly-handled, that's for sure. Sam feels a determination boiling her blood when Sunny strikes out at her. She has to cure his problem and gain his trust; or else her father will never ...
